Shannon Bex Searches For 'Solo Sound' In Nashville
Bex says she's inspired by Garth Brooks while recording new music. There is life after Danity Kane. AUBREY O'Day is gearing up for her new reality series and Las Vegas' "Peepshow." DAWN Richard is working with Diddy on his latest project, Last Train to Paris. And now comes word that SHANNON Bex is back to making music again. But, this time she's going a little bit country. According to The Tennessean, Bex has been in Nashville working on some new material, and this time around, she won't be making music the Danity Kane way. "I'm just working on kind of finding my solo sound," Bex said. "I have been with a group for an amazing five years, and you know, it kind of happens, things move on. I want to do it right, though. I'm not jumping into anything." Instead of looking to Diddy for musical direction, Bex said these days she's looking more toward the work of Garth Brooks for inspiration. "He's such an honest performer," she said. "I went to his concert for the first time ever, and I was in the 300 level, but it felt like he was performing right to me." After breaking up earlier this year, the members of Danity Kane appeared together again on the season-three finale of "Making the Band 4." But it doesn't look like there will be an actual DK reunion anytime soon. "I think, at this point in time, no, not yet," Bex said in April about any reunion plans. "But maybe one day we can come back together." Source - http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1617000/20090727/kane__danity.jhtml

Aubrey O'Day 'Really Excited' About New Reality Show
'I'm starting to film my reality show, hopefully coming out in October,' the former Danity Kane member says.Aubrey O'Day's absence on the last season of "Making the Band" left her fans wondering when they'd see her on TV next. Well, the former Danity Kane member is gearing up for her very own show. Although details such as title and network can't be revealed by O'Day just yet, she does promise that it should air sometime this year. "I'm about to take a huge star's position in a Vegas show that just opened," she told MTV News at the "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" premiere. "And coming with me will be reality-show cameras, of course ... I'm starting to film my reality show, hopefully coming out in October." The show, which she has described as a "docu-soap about me taking the stage again and of my own life," will follow O'Day as she hits the stage in Vegas. "The [Vegas] show is a musical," the former "Hairspray" star said. "And a man that choreographed 'Hairspray' when I was on Broadway, Jerry Mitchell — he's produced this musical." She didn't specify which musical, but did say, "I have big shoes to fill. There's been an amazing cast so far and the show's beautiful and I'm really excited. It's something new that I haven't done before." In April, there were rumors that O'Day would be taking over the "Shot at Love" dating-show franchise, but she was quick to dismiss them. "I didn't feel it was the right fit for me, 'cause I'm an artist first," she said. "Although I have fun at events and stuff, it's not really at all who I am as an artist." 08/06/09 Aubrey O'Day Blog "Getting Wet"
I was having lunch with an industry friend of mine today, got talking shop, and the ‘lil cabana boy discussion’ crept up. Summarized, this convo basically rests on the following idea… how can I take the guy who’s pushing pool chairs seriously? Now, I’ve always been an equal op kinda gal, never choose to fraternize with only rich or poor, just the witty and clever (traits that exist beyond money). But her parting words to our ‘cabana boy’ chat stuck in my head after lunch, “hun, I can’t get wet for under 2 mil”.
Sounds harsh I know. But not everyone is looking for romance. I know many that don’t build castles in the air over that ‘ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love’ that carrie and big found; Some over zealous souls even describe such love as an idealized social propaganda which will only leave all of us feeling like no one will ever satisfy us, ask Chuck Klosterman! As a result, my adolescent hopeless romantic brain was challenged to wonder this thought (even in its obnoxious unpolished tone)… Should I get wet for under a mil?

02/04/09 D. Woods Speaks
Source: http://fourtwentystar.blogspot.com/2009/04/d-woods-speaks.htmlFormer Danity Kane member D. Woods talked with the European blog ThatGrapeJuice.com about the end of DK and what's next for her. (Note: The interview took place before the start of this season of Making The Band.) Sam: Hey D, how are you? It’s been a while since we last met up, at last year’s MOBO Awards. What have you been up to since then? D. Woods: I have been doing a lot of revamping and reinventing myself (laughs), been doing a lot of work in the studio, as well as setting up some new business ventures. So that’s been like from last November till now. And of course you know the election, being all excited and going to the events for our new president, Obama! So that’s just been another big part (laughs), I feel like Obama is part of the family now.
